  No one is in the office at all times during office hours

  We have been 4 times in one week, and each time the office was closed so we could not get a dolly or truck to move our items in, since they need to be signed out. We had to wait an hour the first time (the fire alarm went off and the fire department showed up while we were waiting) and 2 other times we left with a full truckload to try again later. One time we just used the loading dock and carried everything by hand to the locker down a few corridors. The last time (Sunday) we had furniture to move and the parking lot was closed due to being paved. So again we had to leave with a full truck and hope it didn't get rained on and also had to reschedule with the people we paid to come with us. We are moving in pieces since we are selling our house and clearing as we go. Its a very clean place and the people we have been able to deal with are great, but it is extremely frustrating to show up during office hours and not have hand trucks or carts available. I understand that they may be short staffed and have to leave for lunch and other duties, but it would be helpful to know when those times are so we can avoid showing up when there is no one at the office.

  Public Storage Methuen, MA review

  Friendly, knowledgable staff but unfortunately, after they close at 6PM each night, you cannot use their dollies. That makes it hard for standard working hour folks to be able to lug their items unless they go out and buy their own dolly & they are expensive. Rates are comparable in the field especially for climate controlled so hats off for that. HORRIBLE snow removal practices at the Methuen, MA location. My husband slipped & fell once. You have to use inhuman force to push dollies through the snow. Ice melt should absolutely be protocol. Last issue is the standard sized doorways within the building. Obviously people are moving many varied-sized items and a double door would make MUCH more sense. Overall grade for this unit: C-
