I do not like that it is not 24/7
I do not like that it is not 24/7. Or at least 18/7. 12/7 is not looking out for the best interest of your customers. People work and your hours tell me that you expect me to take off work. Please do not assume I work a 40 hour week. The carts are locked up so even though I am able to access it at 6 am, I do not have access to the carts that are provided till the site manager GETS IN AT 930. Again, work. So since I was assigned a 2nd floor unit, I am forced to carry my boxes, before work. The site manager was amazing. Super nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed my site manager My problem is with the policies or rules set in place by corporate. Moving is not easy, and your hours of accessing the unit I'm paying for make moving more difficult. I will be telling people about my move, the hours and that they should look into a different storage company.

P S Locks
I rented a 10 X 10 which turned out to be 2 5 X 5's with the center wall taken out but by doing that it gave me a 10 X 10 with two doors that needed Locks instead of one roll up door. i had to pay 14.00 for one lock and 16.00 for the other lock. I should have only had to pay for one lock. Nit picky but it showed little consideration for the person renting.

Utter loss of faith in Public Storage as a company. Terrible pricing.
I am no longer a fan of Public Storage as a company. That would be an understatement. Their price escalation policies gravely mistreat their longtime customers. My rent tripled (from the $200s to the $600s) since I moved my office records, etc., into a 10x20 storage unit near the 55 and 405 freeways in Orange County, California. My requests for a fair rent reduction—backed by PDF'd evidence of prevailing rates in the region—were denied several times. By the time Public Storage authorized a token price break, I had already rented another unit in the same facility and hired movers at $270 for 3 hours to move me from one storage unit to another. What a colossal waste of time, money, and energy! As a longtime Public Storage customer, I was deeply disappointed by this fiscal mistreatment, and I lost all respect for the Public Storage brand. On another note, I really appreciated the Irvine-area Public Storage facility managers. Two of these lovely human beings tried their best to be helpful. They negotiated on my behalf with their corporate counterparts. Sadly, they were not authorized to override the absurd corporate price escalation policies they were forced to honor.
