I am beyond disappointed with my experience at this Public Storage location. I rented a climate controlled unit for six months, only to find upon moving out on January 2nd that my entire household's worth of belongings was covered in rat feces and urine. With furniture and items also being chewed through. This isn't just a matter of property damage; it is a severe health hazard. The building itself is clearly infested, as I saw other units with the same issue and rat droppings throughout the hallways. The bait traps I saw were neglected and stuffed with leaves, showing a complete lack of maintenance and negligence on the property's part. What is worse is the lack of communication. I was promised a follow-up from the property manager shortly, yet it has been days with zero response. I have left numerous voicemails and have now had to escalate this to corporate just to hopefully get a word from a district manager. I am still waiting for a resolution regarding the safe removal/disposal of these contaminated items and full reimbursement. Save yourself the headache and the health risk. Do NOT rent here.

I had such a great experience at Public Storage thanks to Tiffany and Elvira. I accidentally used the wrong card for a payment, which created a bit of a mess on my end. They were incredibly patient, kind, and helpful while helping me sort everything out. Instead of making it stressful, they made the whole situation easy to fix and were truly wonderful to work with. Customer service like this is rare, and it really makes a difference. Tiffany and Elvira went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for their help. If you’re looking for a storage facility with people who genuinely care and are willing to help, I highly recommend this Public Storage location.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at RecNation due to what I consider poor management and questionable billing practices. I have been a customer for five years. During that time, I have never missed a payment and have consistently complied with all requests, including providing proof of insurance whenever it was requested. However, the proof-of-insurance policy has changed multiple times, and there has not been a clear or consistent method for monitoring coverage or submitting documentation. Despite the lack of clarity and shifting platforms, I have made every effort to comply with their requirements. When my insurance policy expired, I was never contacted or asked to provide updated documentation. I also never requested or authorized enrollment in their protection plan coverage. Instead, I was automatically charged for protection plan coverage without any prior notice. To make matters worse, there were no billing receipts or invoices provided for the January or February charges. After noticing the first charge, I immediately called, left multiple voicemails, and sent emails—none of which received any response. When a second charge appeared, I again called, left voicemails, and emailed, and still received no response. Only after persistent efforts was I finally able to speak with someone. While they agreed to note my account appropriately moving forward, they refused to backdate or reverse the charges that had already been applied. The lack of communication, absence of billing documentation, constantly changing insurance procedures, and refusal to correct improper charges reflect very poor management practices. I would strongly caution others to monitor their accounts closely if choosing to store with this company.

DO NOT RENT HERE If I could rate zero stars, I would. This is my first negative review. Public Storage had to earn it! This has been the WORST customer experience we’ve ever had with any storage company EVER! Zero accountability: On-site staff have no authority to resolve issues (even though customer service claims they do). The district manager, Mario, hasn’t responded to a single email in over a month. Employees are trained to deny, deflect, and dismiss. Excessive rent hikes: Our 15x15 unit went from $375 to $590 in less than a year. Rodent infestation: Rats infested Building 2 and destroyed many of our belongings, including antique furniture. Public Storage stonewalled us, passed us around to different people, and ultimately ignored us. Insurance scam: Their so-called insurance is useless. Online claims didn’t work, phone lines were endless hold times with no call back, and even if successful, the payout would have been only $150. We’ve rented storage for nearly 20 years across different locations, and this Public Storage is by far the most disingenuous, neglectful experience we’ve ever had. Their business model seems designed to exploit customers: raise rents, ignore problems, and dodge responsibility. As the largest storage company in the U.S., they think they can get away with it—and they do. Don’t let them do it to you.

Unfortunately i was offered a promotion and rushed to provide a good review about my experience right after. Only to find out less than 6 months later my rate would be increased for both units for more than $100. I escalated my concern to Regional since the local Mueschke contact Rosa had confirmed she would honor my initial rate a few more months, but never made changes in system. I have been in communication for about a month now trying to get them to honor rates confirmed to me on a recorded line but am now not even receiving a call back from anyone. I would encourage anyone using this location to hold off on submitting a review for a few months, so the same click and bait tactic isn't done to you. It seems their promotions are a hook and if you read your contract before hand, they are able to increase rates at any time.
